A Meeting That Never Took Place

Performance

A meeting that never took place is a dance performance weaving and embodying the story of a four-year-long collaboration between two dancers who have never physically met. It describes an intimate portrait of a relationship between two people that knows no nostalgia and yet is defined by curiosity and longing for the other. The dancers perform simultaneously on two stages of the same venue and take the audience with them into their parallel universes. The questions of who knows what about the other and who deals with what information in what way overlap with the experiences of each audience member.

In a time where the measure of presence is not closeness, where should my body be?
