Paper Bodies (2023)

Paper Bodies is a collaboration with visual artist Kelly Jang in which the three artists explore performatively and visually how absent bodies create a poetic potential to stimulate layers of fiction, imaginations and closeness. Immersed in 50 meters of paper both Ilana and Sabrina create what they have named as “Paper Bodies”, paper structures that are formed through bodies in movement. These structures are alive: they spin, crumble, fold and roll. From these moving structures, Kelly Jang creates drawings, paintings and collages based on these live structures. The collaboration was presented during the Juxtapose Art Fair in Aarhus, Denmark in September 2023.
